Troop 217, chartered by St. John’s Episcopal Church in Gig Harbor, WA, and a member of the Rainier District of the Pacific Harbors Council, welcomes youth of all genders aged 11-18. We combine outdoor adventure, leadership development, and. community engagement in a supportive, engaging, inclusive and FUN environment!
About Our Troop
Troop 217 has been a fixture in Gig Harbor since 1979, offering young people the chance to explore the outdoors and develop valuable life skills. We’re proud to be part of a pilot program welcoming scouts of all genders, creating an inclusive and dynamic environment for adventure. We emphasize teamwork, leadership, and community service, while also ensuring plenty of opportunities for fun and personal growth. From camping trips to service projects, we offer a well-rounded Scouting experience that builds character and creates lasting memories.
